Welcome Week
Guh. This week is almost as difficult as regular school. Not so much physically, but mentally somehow. I don't know why it's so straining to deal with all the newbies coming to Cornish. Most of them (probably the fresh-out-of-highschool ones) have that quiet, deer-in-headlights look when they walk in.
Part of me wants be nice and assure the hell out of them, cause it's nerve-racking to go to college orientation for the first time. To register for classes that you're paying for to lead to a career instead of being forced to attend by law can sock you in the gut sometimes.
On the other hand, I just want to tell them to stop thinking about it, get over it, and just do it. Just walk into the room, take any and all advice told to you by advisors, let me take your picture and stay till I print out your student ID. You'll be fine, everything in your life will probably change now that you're in college so just sit back. You'll change, you'll survive, chill.
Here's your student ID. Welcome to Cornish.
